\n Pair of Art Deco Biedermeier style mahogany elbow chairs. These Regency period chairs have shaped sabre legs. They feature simple padded upholstered diamond patterned seats with a single welt that sits as an inlay finish. They feature shaped scrolling regency arms. The head rail is simple with only a black single pinstripe boarder that runs within the shape and length of the single plank that serves as the singular backrest as there is no other horizontal support which results in a minimalist and sophisticated silhouette. The chairs (circa 1930s) are a combination of veneer and paint. the veneer shows a combination of refined wood grain including burl wood, tiger wood rose wood and mahogany which is a distinctive characteristic of the Biedermeier design style. Although there is no identifying makers mark or signature present they resemble chairs similar to others that are marked as designed by Henkel Harris.
