Vintage Design
Original vintage ”Elda chair” by Joe Colombo for Comfort Italy 1960. Most desired version of black leather and white fiberglass. The ‘Elda’ chair is one of the most well-known designs of Italian designer Joe Colombo. This lounge chair is one of the first designs using new material fiberglass in a great amount. Joe Colombo named this design ‘Elda’ in honor of his wife. The white fiberglass shell is fitted around the patinated black leather cushions that support the sitter from all sides. The way the leather is tufted in thick tubes characterizes the ‘Elda’ lounge chair in an unparalleled manner. The ‘Elda’ chair is also represented in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Louvre in Paris. The leather is in marvelous condition and looks amazing. The chair still swivels and remain in exquisite condition. A real collectable piece that will only increase in value. This is your chance to own a mid-century modern classic.
