Paul Evans (1931-1987) was an iconic American furniture designer, sculptor, artist and a leading figure in the mid-century modern American movement with his now famous Brutalist furniture designs.
The console table is made from a patchwork of overlapping brass and copper rectangular-shaped metal sheets that have been treated and hand-hammered unto a wooden frame with a multitude of individual nails. Nestled into the table is a smoked glass insert. It is in excellent condition.
