This Patek Philippe 3419A vintage Calatrava watch has a Amagnetic 27 AM 400 caliber movement #731626. The watch is fitted with a brown Alligator strap, which can be exchanged for a black one.
Date & Paperwork:
The watch was made in 1962, confirmed with an extract from the archives confirming its date of manufacture and further sale. Additionally, the watch comes with a one year movement guarantee.
Essay:
This model was designed to allow the easy change of the leather bracelet against a metal version by unscrewing a metal ring fixed onto the case back and revealing the lugs, hence its name convertible. The reference 3419 was introduced into the market in 1960, the same year as the anti-magnetic caliber 27-AM 400, an improved version of the 1958 caliber 12”’400, now fitted with a Gyromax balance, gold lever and free sprung self-compensation Breguet overcoil hairspring.
