this is a wonderful original photograph. Fresh from a photography estate collection I recently acquired. This was one of the main photographs I was after in the collection. There are many other great ones that am and will be offering here on ebay this week and in the future. This is a stunning important photograph because of both the photographer as well as the subject. Maurice seymour is a very important 20th century photographer and for those not familiar with him, I have included his biography below. The subject of this photograph is as important if not more. This is a stunning image of the ruth page ballet ballerinas performing love song, most likely the first performance done around 1935. For those not familiar with the ruth page ballet, do your research. An incredibly important part of ballet history for both chicago and the history of ballet. Photograph measures 8 x 10 inches and is a stunning composition in black and white. Incredible use of light and shadows through the ballerinas costumes. A truly artistic photograph.
