Antique Nickel Over-The-Tub Mount Soap and Sponge Holder

This is an antique nickel plated tub rim mount soap and sponge holder. There is a patent date of Feb 6, 1900, which corresponds with the document attached that depicts a very similar version of the same item, invented by W. Bernard and patented on the same date so this is thought to be by the same person. The nickel plating is in good condition overall, there is wear to the smaller soap dish from prolonged exposure to lye-based soaps. The brass base metal is showing in spots. There is also wear to the nickel plating on the mounting arms. SOLD
