This unique and very elegant Empire table dates back to around 1810-20. It comes from Germany. It was probably made in the northern part of Germany or possibly in Berlin. The table stands out for its beautiful mahogany veneer and the exquisitely designed base. The top is raised on a central hexagonal foot which stands on a trefoil base. Foot and base are connected by three s-shaped wood strips with brass decor. The base stands on three brass lion paw casters.
The table is in very good refinished condition.

I inherited this beautiful table from my grandmother. I remember visiting her and admiring this gorgeous table.
This solid English oak pub table seats 4 people when closed & 6 people when opened.

The table is draw leaf design. Pull leafs out from each end to extend the table. Leaves tuck neatly under the table top when not in use. Deep walnut patina. The table is in original condition. The table exhibits superior quality construction throughout.
Original condition no outstanding wear to tabletop beyond a spot on top see photo.

Ready to pass this versatile sturdy Danish, drop leaf, trestle, dining table to another home. My parents purchased this table in 1988 or 1989, my family has used it for a few years. It is Teak Veneer, by Danish Designer Gangso Mobler, no pets or smoking. It has two drop end leaves, fully functional, trestle legs, the tile is great for hot or cold serving, fondue parties, and buffets. Can easily fit up to 12 adults. Please note, it is heavy.
