Dutch burl marquetry console table from the Art Deco era. The top is crafted from inlaid pieces of burlwood veneer, while the round base showcases a beautiful pattern of tessellated burlwood rectangles. It has minor imperfections, such as small repairs and light surface scratches, but is in overall great condition considering its age.

A Very High Quality 19th Century English Regency Period Mahogany Drum Table.

Tables of this sort are often known as rent tables. This table has four working drawers and interesting and unusual all-around vertical and horizontal fluted decoration. This carved work is echoed in the three fluted legs with gilt brass lion’s paw feet with inset castors. The hips of the legs are also carved with stylised leaf motifs.

The table’s stem is turned rather than carved and incorporates a large number of different turned patterns. This is well made with quality veneers used on the top and the frieze is exemplary. These veneers have acquired a lovely patination.

Baroque table hand-made and hand-carved in Italy or Spain in the mid 1600s. Firstly, the top is a single board about 1.5 inches thick made of solid walnut; by itself it weighs as much as I do after Christmas dinner at my nonna. The top is gorgeous, with beautiful marks made by time and usage, and has a gorgeous patina accumulated over the years. The apron is decorated on all sides by geometric carvings, found also on the drawers fronts. The table features two inset drawers with beautiful and large hand-made dovetail joints, secures with square nails (this is what makes me think it is an italian table).

This console and its matching travertine marquetry wall mirror form a harmonious duo that instantly enhances the elegance of any entryway or living room.
