One men’s extraordinarily rare and collectible vintage day-date 18K yellow gold original Rolex president watch with the original black onyx factory stone dial. Amazing condition and an amazing great rarity! A true collectors rarity, this is one of the earliest original black onyx stone dials of this model that we have ever seen. The watch is dated c. the early 1980s. It has the high quality automatic oyster perpetual movement, 18K yellow gold fluted bezel, day-date feature, thirty jewel chronometer move with onyx dial, and concealed clasp president bracelet. It has the original Rolex stone onyx dial. This is rare because stone dials are very fragile and Rolex only made very few of them, most of them broke, they are incredibly rare, very few were made and purchased and Rolex rarely sold them. You have to be very careful to make sure this specific style is 100% original. It appears the watch has never been polished. The beautiful onyx dial has an elegant and modern design with no indices, yellow gold tone hands, the yellow gold Rolex logo, the date at 3 o’clock and the day at 12 o’clock. The entire watch is 18K yellow gold including the case, back, fluted bezel, and matching concealed clasp president bracelet.

What makes this watch so very rare is that it comes not only in its original box with the original booklets, but it has specifically the original Rolex service papers which state that it was serviced by Rolex. Rolex will only service a watch if all the parts are guaranteed to be 100% original. Additionally, it has an original insurance appraisal that Rolex wrote in 1990, which describes the watch as having its original Rolex black onyx dial. So 33 years ago Rolex appraised this watch for $12,500.00. This extraordinary watch comes in the original box with all of the original booklets and two documents that prove that this is the original factory dial. The watch is in overall extremely fine condition.
