1940s Duncan Miller/Tiffin Glass Canterbury Scalloped Edge Platter

Offered is a classic piece of Depression Glass from Tiffin Glass, made between 1935 and 1955. While it very closely resembles the Canterbury pattern made by Duncan & Miller, we have to go by the intact Tiffin sticker, this piece may have been a wedding gift or family heirloom that sat in a cupboard, never used, as the label implies it came before the merger between Tiffin and Franciscan, a well known Mid 20th Century glass producer. The platter is very smooth, and while it would be beautiful to display on an easel, it is absolutely meant to be used and enjoyed – canapés, appetizers, cupcakes, as a cake platter, sushi, carpaccio, . We hope the pictures do it justice as it is very pretty, and clear glass is impossible to photograph.
